The research activities of the RCL in this area include:

  1. design of antenna arrays
  2. design of feed networks
  3. development of relevant CAD software

The RCL has participated in several national and EU-funded programs in this field in collaboration with other research groups. Some relevant projects, which have been carried out, are:

  • Design of a planar slot DBS antenna
  • Development of the antenna system for a radio-relay station
  • Design of cylindrical conformal arrays (THALES project)
  • Simulation of Radar antennas
  • Design of antennas for Microwave Landing Systems
  • Development of CAD tools for wire antenna design
  • ORAMA (ORthogonal Advanced Methods for Antennas) Computer Tool
