Doctorate to Prof. Constantine Balanis
On June 2, 2004, Constantine Balanis, Regents’
Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Arizona State
University, was awarded with the Honoris Causa Doctorate of
the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, for his
outstandaing contribution to the education and research of
electromagnetics. The "Honoris Causa" Doctorate is
the most significant award of the University and has been
bestwed in the past to several world-famous scientists and
Nobel Laureates, including Paul Wolfrang, Georges Charpak and
Ilya Prigogine.
